WHAT IS THE FNQ VIKINGS SCHOOL FUTSAL TITLES?:
The FNQ School Titles is a tournament held in Cairns each year that enables all schools from across the Far North to compete against each other over two weeks of Pure Futsal Fun (each age group need only play on one day of the tournament).
Last year was a great success with nearly 40 schools from across FNQ participating, having a total of 125 teams, and this year will hopefully be even bigger and better with more schools competing to be the best School in Futsal in FNQ.
WHEN?:
From the 26th of July to 6th of August 2010 (to view which age groups play on which day, click into the "booklet" below).
Teams only need to play on one day of the tournament, with finals being played on the same day.
All teams are guaranteed a minimum of four games.
The FNQ School Titles are normally held over either the first or second term of the school year, however this year the FNQ School titles will be held in the third term so that they can be held at the new Redlynch Central Sports Stadium – which will be finished by these dates.
WHERE?:
The FNQ Titles will be held at the Redlynch Central Sports Stadium, at Chelsey Lane off Larsen Road at Redlynch.
WHO CAN PARTICIPATE?:
Any school in FNQ who nominates. All players nominated in a school team MUST be enrolled in and attending the nominated school.
The age groups for this tournament are:
Boys: 9yrs, 10yrs, 11yrs, 13yrs (primary school)
13yrs, 14yrs, 15yrs, 16yrs, 18yrs (secondary school)
Girls: 10yrs, 13yrs (primary school)
14yrs, 16yrs, 18yrs (secondary school)
COST:
The cost of participating in this tournament is $145 per team.
